Kde začít? Popsat neuvěřitelný zážitek s lidmi, o kterých jsem před 10 dny nic nevěděl, je, musím říct, těžké. Sám jsem jednoho cizince ubytoval. Byl to 21 letý Jordánec Rushdi. Mít ho doma bylo super, dozvěděli jsme se věci o Jordánsku, které normalně neříkal. Je to pro mě kamarád, kterého si vážím.

Projekt Edison u nás na škole splnil svůj cíl. Spolužáci kteří byli předtím negativní ohledně muslimů a celkově lidí, kteří jsou z jiné země, tak změnili názor a začali je vnímat jako sobě bližší. Jsem rád, že projekt Edison zavítal i na Bakalku.

Where should I start? To describe an experience with a group of people that I didn’t know 10 days ago. But actually we became friends very quickly. My family accommodated Rushdi from Jordan. It was a wonderful experience having him at home. We got some interesting information about Jordan that he didn’t say in class. I’m glad that he’s my friend. Project Edison has achieved quite something in our school. My classmates changed their opinion immediately about foreigners once they’ve met these great people from other countries. I’m glad that Project Edison came to our school.

Last week we had in our school Bakalka students from all over the world. Wow! It was an amazing experience. They were very kind and they presented their countries with proud. They told us a lot of interesting things about the country where they live. We met them  at school, but the real fun with them was out of school. We were in Anthropos,in Brno downtown,..and we hope they enjoyed these short trips. It was only one week, but the memories will last forever. We hope we will see each other soon, because we have become good friends.
 
Minulý týden jsme měli na Bakalce studenty z celého světa. Wau! Byla to úžasná zkušenost. Byli velmi milí a prezentovali jejich země s hrdostí. Řekli nám hodně zajímavých věcí o zemi, kde žijí. Potkali jsme je ve škole, ale opravdová zábava s nimi byla mimo školu. Byli jsme v Anthroposu a ve městě,..doufáme, že se jim tyto krátké výlety líbily. Byl to pouze týden, ale vzpomínky budou navěky. Doufáme, že se brzy potkáme, protože jsme se stali dobrými přáteli.
 

Last week, I had the honor to meet a few guys from foreign countries. They told us about their culture and habits. The experience was amazing and I hope, I will see them again in the future. I hope, that they enjoyed the time spent here as I did.

Minulý týden jsme měl čest poznat pár lidí z cizích zemí. Povykládali nám o svojí kultuře a zvycích. Tato zkušenost byla skvělá a doufám, že se s nimi znovu shledám. Doufám, že si to tu užili stejně jako já.

Last week was absolutely amazing. We met new people, their cultures, new kind of people from all around the world.
We practised English language in real situations and it was cool. They prepared exciting presentations about their countries, their races and we learned about new religions. We also took them into Brno-downtown and it was great fun and they tried some typical Czech snacks, food, drink, etc.. And all of them said, that it tasted good. So we hope, that they enjoyed visiting us as well as we enjoyed their visit. Thanks guys!!! :-)
 
Minulý týden byl absolutně úžásný. Poznali jsme nové lidi, jejich kulturu, prostě nové typy lidí z celého světa.
Procvičili jsme si angličtinu v reálných situacích a to bylo super. Připravili si pro nás zajímavé prezentace o jejich zemích, jejich rasách, a dozvěděli jsme se o nových náboženstvích. Taky jsme je vzaly do centra Brna a to byla sranda a oni zkusili nějké typické české pochutiny, jídlo, pítí, atd.. A každý z nich říkal, že to chutná skvěle. Takže doufáme, že si užili návštěvu u nás stejně jak my jejich návštěvu. Díky lidi!!!:-)

Last week, our school was visited by several foreign students from various countries from all over the world. After they were shown around the school, they began to visit our lessons, to introduce us their countries, culture and lifestyle. We think it was truly amazing!  And also very very interesting. We learned lots of new stuff from them and we became great friends in the process. 
Even though they live on the other side of the world, we are still in contact and we will remain so.
 
Minulý týden byla naše škola navštívena několika zahraničními studenty z různých zemí světa. Poté, co jim byla naše škola představena, začali navštěvovat hodiny, kde nám prezentovali jejich zemi, kulturu a životní styl. Musíme říct, že to bylo naprosto úžasné! A také velmi zajímavé a zároveň poučné. Naučili jsme se od nich mnoho nových věcí a za tu dobu, co tu byli, jsme se stali dobrými přáteli. Přestože žijí na druhém konci světa, jsme stále v kontaktu, o kterém doufáme, že bude nadále přetrvávat.

Bylo to úžasné, moc jsem si to užila. Dobře jsem si procvičila angličtinu a naučila jsem se mnoho o jiných kulturách, což se mi moc líbilo. Klidně bych se studenty strávila ještě jeden týden.
It was amazing. I really enjoyed it. I practised my English a lot. And I learnt a lot about their cultures, which I liked very much. I would like to spend another week with the students.

We would like to have another such a good week. It was a great fun. Jordan was the funniest guy of all of them. Next time we want more dancing and go to see a fooball match together.

Dozvěděli jsme se hodně věcí o jejich zemích. Hodiny byly velmi zábavné. Ve čtvrtek, „na rozlučkové párty", jsme mohli důkladněji poznat nejen jejich země a je samotné, ale i ochutnat jejich jídlo, které nám vlastnoručně přichystali. Ten týden byl úžasný.

Projekt byl úžasný. Poznali jsme jiné země a jejich kulturu. Ti lidé byli skvělí, strašně přátelští a milí. Velmi jsem si užila ten týden. Děkuji.

Měli skvělou angličtinu, dalo se s nimi normálně domluvit. Líbilo se mi, jak nám vždycky pověděli o své zemi. Byli zábavní a skvělí. Byl to skvělý týden, jeden z nejlepších.
Their English was really good, we could understand and speak to them easily. I enjoyed speaking about their countries. They were funny and awesome. It was amazing, one of the best week.

Bylo to super, dozvěděla jsem se zajímavé věci o různých kulturách. Studenti byli velmi příjemní a komunikativní. Rozhodně si myslím, že to byla skvělá možnost zlepšit si angličtinu. Jsem velmi ráda, že tu byli.
It was super, I´ve found out a lot of interesting things about different cultures. Students were very nice and communicative. I think , it was a good oportunity to improve our English. I´m so glad they were here.

Projekt byl velmi užitečný, poznání nových zemí, jejich kultury a jídel. Všechny jsou to krásné země. Studenti byli strašně milí. Byli ochotní nám vše říct, uvařili nám svá jídla, která byla výborná. Nejlepší týden!
The project was very useful, presentations of their countries were amazing experience for us, also their culture and food. The students were very kind. They answered every question we asked. We could taste their food that was so delicious. The best week ever!

Byl to jeden z nejúžasnějších týdnů naplněný kulturním poznáním. Každý ze studentů to bral i přátelsky, a proto jsme, a doufám, zůstaneme v kontaktu. Jsou to opravdu skvělí lidé, z opravdu úžasných a zajímavých zemí. Děkuji všem, kteří byli součástí toho týdne, budu si pamatovat velmi dlouho.
It was one of the most amazing week ever, filled with cutural entertainment. Each of the students took it friendly and therefore we, and I hope we´ll stay in touch. They´re really great people from truly wonderful and interesting countries. Thank you to all who werea part of that week. I´ll remmember a long time.

What we think is that it was one of the best school weeks in our lives. We built a really strong friendship with these guys and we really hope it will last for a long time. We also learnt that life is different in other parts of the world but still these guys made us strongly believe that great people are all around the world. We will really miss them and we hope we´ll meet them sometime in the future. Thank you.
